Now partner..about that wine. This here wine is the wildest wine in the wilderness!
Frontier Red wine from Fess Parker Winery.

Does the name Fess Parker sound familiar? You Disney fans know the name as the gentleman who portrayed Davy Crockett (King of the Wild Frontier) for Walt Disney in the 1950s. After retiring from his career in Hollywood, Mr. Parker followed the lure of a budding wine region to the Central Coast of California, buying land to grow grapes and establish his vineyard. It is located in Los Olivos, Central Coast, California; still family run and operated.
About the Wine: It is a dry style of red wine, full body, with medium to high tannins and medium acidity. You'll find notes of vanilla, oak, blackberry and plums. The wine is blend of different grapes including: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and Mourvedre.
Pairing with the Menu: Most of the food here is barbeque inspired - with cornbreads, briskets and marinated chicken. With these hearty foods, red wines make a great pairing option. Why? Red wines are bold enough to stand up to the bold flavors of the Diamond Horseshoe food. If you don't try the Fess Parker Frontier Red, there are a few other red wines on the menu.
Quick wine lesson: a delicate white wine may be overpowered by the barbeque sauces and spices, and you'll lose the flavors of the wine. Of course this is just a suggestion - if you're aching for a glass of white wine on a hot Orlando day, go for it!
I paired the Fess Parker Frontier Red with the Cowboy Macaroni (pasta with beef and cornbread) and was not disappointed!

Fess Parker Wine is available outside of the Disney Parks on their website or check with your local liquor store. You can find them on Instagram at @FessParkerWinery
