Wine Review of Flower & Garden Festival 2021

The Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT is truly beautiful. If you like good food, slushie beverages and beers - this festival is for you. (And if you like gardening - for sure this is the festival for you!) If you like wine, you won't find much at this festival. But rest assured there is still plenty of wine to be found in World Showcase for the vinos. Read on for more...

Wines of the Flower & Garden Festival:

The Honey Bee-stro (fantastic name by the way) is serving up a Orange Blossom Honey Wine from the Florida Orange Groves Winery. Nearby, at the Pineapple Promenade, you can find another Florida Orange Groves Winery offering in the Sparkling Pineapple wine (which is on the sweeter side). Next door you'll find The Citrus Blossom booth - and the Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy. At Germany's festival offering, Bauernmarkt you'll find Apfelschaumwein - a sparkling wine with apple liqueur (heads up, the apple liqueur over powers the delicate sparkling wine). Hanami, at Japan, has a pineapple sake (sake is a traditional rice wine from Japan).

If you are looking for more traditional wine pours, you'll find the best selection at Italy's Primavera Kitchen. Simply labeled options are: Pinot Grigio, Chianti, Prosecco, Moscato and Rosa Regale (a sparkling red wine). They also offer an Italian white sangria made with Prosecco and an italian red sangria made with Cabernet Sauvignon. The Taste of Marrakesh booth also has a sangria on the menu, though it doesn't state any details about the base wine. Another option for more straight forward wine pours is France's festival booth, the Fleur de Lys. Here you will find Chardonnay and a Bordeaux red blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec). The booth also has a rosé wine with raspberry flavoring called the Very Raspberry.

In a way, I'm happy that the good people of Walt Disney World decided to make the beverage options unique to this festival - rather than just pile on wines to the menu at each booth. That is why the Food and WINE festival exists and is its own event. This distinct selection of cocktails, slushies, beers and plenty of non-alcoholic beverages gives you a chance to explore new festivals (one of the BEST parts of EPCOT festivals!)

If the above options just simply are not enough wine options for you - World Showcase has still got you covered! The wine shops at Germany, Italy and France are all still pouring out wines by the glass. And don't forget about EPCOT's new addition - Regal Eagle Steakhouse. There is a bar tucked in the back of the outdoor seating area pouring a variety of wines on tap!

And, if I may, a final tip to enjoy this festival. Quite literally stop to smell (visit, stare at, appreciate) the roses at this festival. The display of multi-colored flowers and such incredible topiaries they look fake deserve your attention while you sip your beverage of choice.

I hadn't expected such gorgeous topiaries and colorful flowers spread across the property.
