And why is that? Be off with your boring red blends! Blends get a bland reputation. Blends can be made up of grapes that didn't pass in quality to make it into "better" wines or a mix of unsold grapes. These situations may lead to boring or cheap blends. This is where the huge BUT comes in. BUT this is not always the case. It does happen, and there is nothing wrong with those easy sippers at a low price for all wallets to afford. BUT don't think everything labeled with blend will be bland. Many regions, such as Languedoc-Roussillon where this wine is from, blend their amazing, high-quality grapes on purpose to make a signature style. Red Bordeaux wines are some of the most prized in the world, and are almost always a blend! (Yes really. Quick wine lesson: they are usually a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes). Just as the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland is anything but bland or boring, adding vivid make it red color and vibrancy to the movie, this red blend is bold and flavorful.
